Looking for a quick, easy appetizer to make for your next party? Look no further than these easy 4-ingredient Air Fryer Sausage Balls!

These Air Fryer Sausage Balls are cheesy, savory, and ready in minutes! Made with sausage, Bisquick, cheddar cheese, and cream cheese, this easy appetizer recipe is perfect for holidays, game day, brunch, or anytime you need a crowd-pleasing snack. The air fryer gives them a golden exterior while keeping the inside tender, rich, and full of flavor.

If you’ve ever made traditional baked sausage balls, you’re going to love this air fryer version. Not only do they cook faster, but they also come out evenly browned with minimal cleanup. No waiting on the oven and no heating up the kitchen—just quick, delicious results every time.
One of the best things about this recipe is how simple it is. Everything mixes together in one bowl, and the ingredient list is short and familiar. The combination of shredded cheddar cheese and cream cheese makes these sausage balls extra moist and creamy, while the oregano adds just the right amount of savory flavor without overpowering the sausage.
These air fryer sausage balls are especially popular for entertaining. They’re bite-sized, easy to serve, and can be made ahead of time. Set them out with toothpicks and watch them disappear! They’re also great for breakfast or brunch alongside eggs and fruit, or even tucked into a biscuit for a hearty morning sandwich.

Ingredients You’ll Need
- 1 pound ground sausage, room temperature
- 2 ½ cups Bisquick (or homemade Bisquick mix)
- 2 teaspoons died oregano
- 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese, freshly shredded and room temperature
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
Homemade Bisquick Option
This makes more than you’ll need for the recipe, but it’s handy to have on hand.
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tablespoons baking powder
- ½ cup butter
Whisk together the flour and baking powder, then cut in the butter using a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

How to Make Air Fryer Sausage Balls
Preheat your air fryer at 350°F for 3 minutes. In a large bowl, combine the sausage, oregano, and 2 ½ cups of Bisquick (or the homemade mix). Use your hands to mix until well combined. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and cream cheese, then continue mixing until everything is fully incorporated.
Using a cookie scoop, portion the mixture and roll into 1-inch balls. Place 12 sausage balls at a time in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each one. Cook for 9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining batches and serve warm.
Tips for Best Results
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature to ensure easy mixing.
- Mix thoroughly—this can take a few minutes by hand, but it’s worth it.
- Sausage balls cooked in the air fryer tend to be darker in color than baked versions, which is completely normal.
