Easy Cherry Compote

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 cups cherries pitted and sliced in half
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • In a medium size pot add water and sugar. Cook for about 2 minutes, just until sugar dissolves.
  • Next, add in the cherries. Stir and allow to simmer and medium-low heat for 13 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
  • Add in vanilla, stir and allow to simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove and cool.
  • Serve and ENJOY!
